WHEN COMES THE FIRETIDE: INNUNDATION
Tybraes is an unforgiving world, splintered by races at war convinced their fundamental differences far outweigh any common ground. The botanic, fey Erahs seek to remain hidden from the violent warring of the leporine Shae and the red giants, the Ganroth. When an Erahs “Blade Spirit” is found, a gifted time-bender of a lost monk order, the Nelenr, the Shae claim Khes Adaia for their own-- a weapon in their war against the Ganroth. In truth, she is a single cog in a much larger machination against the Ganroth's waking old god, Uvall, who threatens to consume them all. If the mystery of “The Motherless,” why Khes is so important, and how to kill a god is not discovered, a petty political coup will be a good day in Tybraes. They simply need more time.

Consciousness returned in cyclical waves of nausea and sensual distortion. Each limb felt weighted by sand, and her head filled with a hot, stinging fluid. The near evacuation of her stomach as she sat up slowed Khes' progress, and only as her hand came to her abdomen did she become aware of her nudity. The girl's bleary eyes blinked wider, forcing focus and awareness as the spasm of realization jolted her to sobriety.
Upon the floor was her dress, the plain blue shift she wore as servant in the Damin's estate. Plain by Shae standards, but among the poorer clans of her own people, the dress was elegant. Only the stigma of station attached to it darkened that elegance. Service was an incorrect description. Khes was a slave. Captured, bought and owned. Whatever had transpired that left her body aching and her mind numb was within her Master's rights. Khes knew this, and loathed the not knowing as much as she loathed that she had failed to prevent it.

Devious Uneventful Update

Hello Darlings!
I'm so excited to say that I have attracted to lovely fireflies on Patreon and it has me writing away feverishly! I've completed another chapter of Vector H+. I have several finished far ahead on Firetide so I can tweak and fiddle to feel comfortable before posting things. (Did that sound like a drugs and sex reference to anyone else... no? Just me? ok, moving on then...)
Not a whole lot to report for anyone skipping past and reading. I may be poking the Fiverr bear and seeing how that works. Strangely, however, perhaps not with writing. The time for dollar turnaround does not seem to be quite worth the effort and would just be a distraction from my own projects. But we'll see... maybe some odd nuggets of creativeware I can peddle on their page. I talk a lot and did years of acting in my younger days. *cough* Perhaps I can annoy a few folks with some brief bits of voice overacting. Seems like only a brief amount of time can net a fair amount overall. Beware my vocal fry! *RAWR*

I know that family and friends may want to help and say they will, but we all realistically know that money is not the easiest thing to supply. My Patreon account is primarily established to help support me in my endeavor on a Transmedia Project that I conceived. It is something that I plan (hope) to write involving a novel, video game, short films... and possibly other interactive media if it comes to fruition. At the moment, the novel is in the works and the other aspects are in the planning/research stages. Most of this content is only viewable by certain tier Patrons.
However, I appreciate even moral support, so while paying patrons will receive all kinds of bonuses - including reading my chapters earlier than the public, the OTHER project I am working on (when I need to step away from Vector H+ for a bit) is a fantasy novel, which may become a series in its own right. This novel I am posting to a public blog a chapter at a time, roughly one chapter a month for the time being. I had intended to cross post it on DA but, they have changed their lit system quite a bit from the "Olden days" of when I first joined and, frankly, it sucks massive balls to work with. Like... more than blogger, which says a lot. So, I may attempt the occasional excerpt but only if I am bored or stoned... maybe?
There are currently 2 chapters posted, plus some intros and links to notes if you are a Codex-reader kinda person like I am. (Did you read every codex in Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Destiny? Yeah... me too.)

I am hoping to be launching a few new things in the next week. The first will be a major face-lift for my website. This is significant because it isn't just a pretty new facade. I am stepping away from some of the previous professional paths that I was walking and refocusing on the things that I have always wanted to do. I am re-aiming myself toward the mountains I really want to climb. As such, it is going to look like quite a rebranding, of sorts. Hopefully, everyone will be supportive of this. If not... I'll deal. I'm doing it anyway. 
The other thing that is launching will be a new Patreon account. This will be in conjunction with the various blogs that I maintain. My hope is that this will enable me to build toward the film and writing goals that I aim to achieve. Some of that content will be posted here (at least in excerpt if nothing else). And my website will have a "Feed" page which will have blog updates and news from me on it regarding how things are going. I am tackling one really major project that is spanning the gamut of media with a novel, a video game, and short films... so it will keep me very busy and provide a lot of stuff for everyone to look at - but I can't post a lot of it on here (that's where the Patreon stuff gets tricky... Patron reward/perks, etc...) BUT the other book I am writing at the same time (I know, right? Like... what the hell...) and any film reviews I can manage to eek out will be totally posted for the public. So those will be out there, and maybe here.
At the moment, I am held up with some server issues, or the site would have been up. As soon as I get those sorted out, The site will go live, the Patreon campaign will launch and I will link to the new excitement.

I have a brief intro up, no chapters yet, though. My hope is that it will be a unique world at least. Maybe I can find an artist much more talented than myself who can better visualize the creatures and characters as I envision them. My earlier sketches are from before I did some rewrites and evolved them away from looking like elves. I am not sure that I am skilled enough to draw any of the Erahs clans (each a little different), the Shae, Ganroth or Tōk and really do the justice without them looking like cheap imitations of someone else's creations.
Anyway... that's all for now.

Tattle-tattle-tattle-FUMP-FUMP! "We're making a different film!" NOPE, G-45.
Tattle-tattle-tattle-FUMP-FUMP! And so it goes.
Meanwhile, I hear this friend or that or a friend of a friend whose making a deal with so and so and their film is underway! Or they just got published! I just won the MY BOOK'S FANCY Award!!! Which is great. I am GENUINELY happy for every single one of them. Not a lie or saving face. I am. I'm just wondering how to get the Tattle-tattle-tattle-FUMP-FUMP! to stop and either land on the right goddamn square...or, if I am going to literally be playing the creative Bingo until the day I die and then be playing it in some kind of weird Beetlejuice Purgatory with other old eccentrics who write, make movies, take photos and never got their shit together either.
I am at the end of Chapter Three of Vector H+. Which is progress, yes...but...the 'transmedia' aspect of this 'transmedia' project isn't going anywhere. While I can write the game script, I'm not sure I will be able to make the interface part as flashy as I was hoping. I am only SO tech savvy and...it is still only Twine. So those two things combined can't turn a Saltine into a wedding cake. But I CAN write the basic dialogue and action script, which is a start. And the accompanying short film script (OBVIOUSLY) I can write...that is what I do. The novel is just the largest brunt piece. So....yay ambitious ideas?
My website redesign is at a complete halt because mobile devices have complicated the interwebs and I am now as good as a circus seal with three horns when it comes to coding. Thanks technology.
Meanwhile the web/tv series concept that I was fleshing out is still brewing in my mind. I am still wary of trying to tackle such an intense topic from such an unusual angle. I have yet to really find anything that takes this approach. I mean...many things take *similar* approaches but they always go full fantasy with them. Odd Thomas, What Dreams May Come, etc. "Snow" walks a very different line, and it is a very delicate one. So...I am taking my time before approaching that one. I did write an opening hook scene for the first episode just to test the waters with a few friends, and gauge some reactions. Kind of like a test screening on paper. I like how they reacted to it...so, that helps with the planning some. Now I just have the debate of whether to base it present day to strip away any extra distractions, or base it in the late 80s early 90s (as the original "source material" actually was)...to avoid the pitfalls of adapting memories and experience to their modern day equivalencies...since, you know...I'm not in high school in 2015. It's been over 20 years. Things have changed a bit. Like...my prom date being a gay guy. Today, he could have just gotten his own boyfriend to go (at many schools.) So, anyway...yeah...some fundamentals that need working out on that project.
Soooo.....yeah. That's the Tattle-tattle-tattle-FUMP-FUMP! assailing my brain. Still looking for that I-42.
